We began our trip with a visit to the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry. Highlights included the 2 story "tornado" (4 mph, water vapor), the train exhibit, the coal mine and a cool exhibit about how our bodies/minds work.

We took the train from Lake Bluff, where the adults chatted and the kids eagerly awaited the train

Maria and Tommy got to generate power by running in a hamster wheel. Maybe we can hook them up at home?

Tommy tried out the tornado

The kids tried to fly an airplane - it took intense concentration.                                            Maria drove a tractor in a simulation game

Paul and Margie braved 40 mph winds in a wind booth

The train exhibit was cool. Unfortunately, this was our only glimpse to the tower formerly known as the Sears Tower.

And the Space Needle made us feel at  home.

We ended the day at the museum tired, but happy

Our last stop was the Watertower Mall, where we paid a visit to the American Girl store, and the Lego Store
