And to cap the summer off -- we went on yet ANOTHER trip. This time to the beach where Aunt Kate had rented a lovely beach house, and then on to see the "big trees" (sometimes called the Redwoods).

I found that I loved running on the beach. My cousin Megan read one of our favorite books to me too after it got dark!

We celebrated Aunt Kate's birthday a little late -- cousin Rachel made her a great Oreo birthday cake! I also got to meet Kate's new friend -- Bill.

We then went to see some REALLY big trees!

They were even big when they had fallen over! That tree root was taller than DAD!
