In January, we had our first experience skating. Mom learned that if the kids are renting skates, she should probably not! The kids did remarkably well.

First they wouldn't let go of solid surfaces.

And then we spent a lot of time hanging on to mom.

Slowly, the let the death grip on Mom's arm go, and ventured out. At first, they spent a lot of time falling and getting up.

Finally, it clicked!

We ended the day happy, and rosy cheeked!
