Family Trip: Sacramento

On Saturday, Margie and Grandma flew out from Sacramento, and we had a little time to tour the city. We went to the famous train museum there.
They had a lot of trains - from old steam engines like this to sleepers and mail cars from the 60s.

The had a "snow shed" built like they have over the train tracks to keep the trains running in the winter, and Maria spent some time "sliding" down the snow.

Tommy's favorite part was the big train layout where kids could press buttons and make the trains go.

The next day we went to the Discovery Museum, where they had exhibits about old California, and included some dress up and toys for the kids.

Our final experience was tkaing a ride in a horse drawn carriage through Old Sacramento:

And the kids got to pet the horse!
