At the end of July, Aunt Jane from Minnesota came to visit. We had a lovely time with her. On Saturday, we went to the beach and met up with Aunt Mary, Uncle George and all three cousins (and the dog, of course).
Aunt Jane felt the beach was a bit too cold for her (she prefers those warm
beaches where the ocean doesn't make your feet numb!)
But the Oregon contingent was well used to the temperatures and some even felt
warm enough for swimsuits!
We tried to get the kites to fly,
But most of our time was spent on Rachel's "Big Dig" engineering project - a sand castle and moat, with the water diverted from the nearby creek.
The results were quite impressive!
